Per default it is not possible on a Lenovo P14s, running Ubuntu 22.04 to default mount an inserted SD-Card.

Even after installing the package udisks2, it won’t work.

Apparently it will work, when you See this AskUbuntu Thread, where a user presents their solution as just running lspci -knn | grep -iA2 card inside an terminal, after inserting the SD card.

The user concludes that lspci does not just list the devices, but triggers something, that the card gets recognized.

Questions:

  • I want to know how to trigger this automatically?
  • I want to know how lscpi works and why this is setup-specific?
